UnityPoint Health Pharmacy Analytics Analyst in West Des Moines, Iowa

Remote within UPH footprint of IA and WI


The Pharmacy Analyst develops tools and analyses to support the day-to-day operations of the Pharmacy key initiatives and projects. They will develop and maintain tools to increase the efficiency of pharmacy work including 340B team in delivering a compliant, optimized 340B program for all UPH 340B Covered Entities.

340B Analytics and Deployment

  • Develop and maintain 340B-specific tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the 340B team in managing the day-to-day operations in regard to maintenance, auditing, and optimization of the program

  • Develop and maintain awareness of the complexities of the 340B program and its evolving rules.

  • Responsible for understanding data sources and structures to be able to synthesize solutions for novel situations.

  • Develop and maintain an effective and high performing solution through leading analytics work for 340B team.

  • Develop analytics consumer-facing documentation including user guides, training and videos to support 340B work.

Pharmacy Analytics and Development

  • Performs analyses to forecast the financial impact of various program opportunities or necessary changes

  • Reconciles data across multiple databases to identify potential compliance concerns or optimization opportunities

  • Analyze data to extract insights which help improve decision-marking and outcomes


  • Bachelor’s degree in Analytics or related field


  • 3-5 years’ as a data analyst or similar

  • Experience with pharmacy data, including the 340B program is a plus.
