The Senior Business Relationship Manager (BRM) will serve as the primary relationship manager between Athene Operations and back offices of key Broker Dealers/Financial Institutions. The Senior BRM further supports both Sales and Operations management in the ongoing productive operational support of key Broker Dealers/Financial Institutions.


  • Acts as the primary point of escalation for operational issues raised to and from the back offices of our key broker dealers/financial institutions.

  • Actively participates in the operational onboarding of new broker dealer/financial institution relationships.

  • Leverages Athene's resources to build end execute operational account management plans.

  • Educate s th e key broker dealers/financial institutions of Athene's processe s, procedure s and SLAs.

  • Serves to determine the various ways our key broker dealers/financial institutions do business.

  • Helps drive operational improvements based on feedback from our broker dealers/financial institutions and internal feedback fro m th e Athene' s Operation s team s & other interna l departments/customer s .

  • Assists with the implementation of operational technologies & operational product requirements as needed.

  • Works closely with the Sales Team and Sales Relationship Managers on overall account management.

  • Researches industry benchmarks and best practices as requested.

  • Serves as project owner or subject matter expert on smaller company initiatives/projects.

  • Serves as a mentor to other members of BRM team as needed.

  • Travels to broker dealer/financial institution back offices and/or industry conferences as needed (15% or less).

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.

  • 6+ years of progressive professional relationship management experience working with broker dealers/financial institutions in the insurance/financial services industries is required.

  • 4+ years o f customer service / operationa l o r sale s experienc e i n th e insurance/financial services.

  • Experience with operationally onboarding broker dealers/financial institutions strongly preferred.

  • Industry designations (FINRA licenses, CLU . ChFC , etc.) strongly preferred

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Ability to provide proactive support and build relationships with internal and external contacts through effective use of verbal and written communications.

  • Experience implementing complex projects/concepts.

  • Experience using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel. Access , Visio. Project, PowerPoint. etc.)
