Purpose:
This Senior Compliance Analyst position will provide compliance oversight of the Company’s creation, use, and retention of advertising and marketing materials. The role will review advertising and marketing materials, including print materials, electronic communications, and website and social media content. Oversight responsibility will also include review of external producer and distribution partner content, and assistance incompliance oversight of product development and registration.
Accountabilities:
Lead and manage product related projects and initiatives for Advertising Compliance.
Prepare and primarily oversee new submissions by filing in SERFF or other systems and manage objections to obtain prompt approvals of advertising filings.
Build and maintain a strong working relationship with internal and external business partners to manage compliance aspects of advertising and marketing initiatives.
Serve as a technical leader and train others in advertising review processes and guidelines
Provide compliance review and commentary based upon advertising regulations and Athene’s guidelines on company created and field created advertising and marketing materials including print materials, electronic communication and website and social media content, updating documented processes and guidelines.
Collaborate with and support other Compliance units with all matters involving advertising.
Provide oversight of Athene’s distribution partners’ online and social media presences.
Support the maintenance of Athene’s record retention program of advertising and marketing materials.
Assist regulators, auditors, compliance personnel and business unit management with regulatory exams and inquiries, especially those related to advertising.
Maintain professional contact with state insurance departments, the Interstate Compact, and other regulatory bodies.
Responsible for additional compliance functions and projects, as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent educational or employment experience.
5+ years of progressively responsible experience in annuity compliance and product filing preferred.
Strong knowledge of insurance products, product compliance and the ability to comprehend regulatory requirements and changes as they pertain to annuities.
Familiarity with key aspects of insurance administration.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to draw conclusions from research or data collection, and report on those findings in multiple formats (e.g., written, spoken).
