Trinity Health Trainer in WEST DES MOINES, Iowa

Description:

Develops and maintains training programs and materials for conducting training sessions or classes. Prepares training plan, user manuals, training manuals, student workbooks and reference guides.

Coordinates and schedules vendor applications training for the user, utilizing appropriate training techniques and levels of communication.

Develops training tools that are available to staff at the application locations.

Maintains open and positive communication with staff, physicians, physician's office staff, other hospital departments and others.

Participates in meetings and on committees as requested.

Participates in marketing Medical Imaging Services.

Advises management concerning proposed or potential training strategies, deadlines and schedules in a timely manner.

Interacts with team leaders in specification and development of new methodologies for computer system.

Implements computer software updates and of new programs.

Establishes appropriate training objectives and corresponding course content with management.

Builds, documents and implements new computer methodologies.

Updates and documents change in existing computer methodologies.

Monitors computer software maintenance functions.

Performs special software maintenance program functions to maintain integrity of computer files and programs.

Maintains communication with computer vendor’s support and programming personnel.

Interfaces with Medical Imaging Information System maintenance personnel to maintain satisfactory system performance and stability.

Utilize word processing and spread sheet programs.

Maintains the Imaging Information System including trouble-shooting of hardware and software.

Maintains confidentiality regarding all patient and personnel information.

Follows the established chain of command with all communication in Department.

Responds in a timely and appropriate manner to all methods of communication; i.e., pagers, telephones, voice mail, e-mail, etc.

Work requires a professional level of knowledge of personal computer operating systems, software applications and various training methodologies.

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field, or experience equivalent to that which would be acquired by completing a four-year college program. A minimum of 4 years of experience in teaching adult learning programs is preferred.

Knowledge of medical terminology, experience with medical imaging interfaces and computer hardware is desirable.

Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training for child and dependent adult abuse within three (3) months of hire.
