Agriland FS Procurement Specialist- Agronomy in Winterset, Iowa

AGRILAND FS is looking for a well-organized and detailed business professional with pricing or procurement experience to execute agronomy pricing activities, communicate market information, and process orders directly with customers and the sales team for our financially stable and growing cooperative business. As a member of our AGRILAND FS team, this individual will work in our Winterset corporate office and play an integral role in providing our customers with the agronomy services they need.
Core responsibilities:
Analyze demand trends and inventory levels for agronomy products
Record and maintain purchase contracts and purchase orders
Publish pricing for responsible products
Communicate supply outages and backorders to sales and operations timely
Develop strong relationships with sales, operations, and suppliers
Assist in the communication of information regarding product mix, product availability and movement of products.
Analyze, monitor, and assist with seasonal fill efforts for agronomy products
What we need from you:
Four-year business degree or equivalent work experience
Able to work in a high-paced office environment and handle interruptions and distractions
Experience in customer service, learning business operations, and adding value to a business
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Able to analyze data and problem solve
Excellent time management and organizational skills, with ability to manage multiple projects at one time, while maintaining attention to detail
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel, and able to learn proprietary business software
Able to cross train within the procurement department
Willingness to work outside of normal hours when necessary
